It looked like the Wave could have easily made it two out of their last three after the first set of this evening matchup, but mental errors and a lack of an offensive attack sent them to a 3-0 less against Governors State on Tuesday evening.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana’s John Will Anderson Club in Gary discovered the love for baseball is alive and well in Northwest Indiana! Prior to the start of summer programming, Home Field Advantage Foundation partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana’s John Will Anderson Club with the goal of offering youth, residing in Gary, the opportunity to learn, play and love baseball. Equipment to help start the league was received through Major League Baseball through the efforts of Lloyd McClendon, a Gary Roosevelt product and current coach for the Detroit Tigers.
First week of action for the Calumet College of St. Joseph women's volleyball team in the books, first conference award collected. After her stellar this past weekend's action at the Siena Heights Tournament, junior Caitlin Alwine (JR/Goshen, Ind.) has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Defender of the Week, a fitting way to cap of her first four games in a Crimson and Gray uniform.

This Friday night, the Valparaiso High School football team will be playing their HOME OPENER against the La Porte Slicers. With this being the first home football game of the year, we wanted to share some basic information regarding Friday night:
Heading on the road for this first away contest of the season, the two things that the Calumet College of St. Joseph men's soccer team had to focus on was improving their offensive attack and keeping their composure on the pitch. Unfortunately, only one of those two tasks were accomplished. The Crimson Wave were only assessed a single yellow card in the contest, but only managed four shots, falling to Huntington College 5-0 Wednesday evening.
