Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the 219 Day Committee invite all Region residents over 21 years of age to join us for the fun, weird and wacky event that celebrates everything Region, 219 Day. The 219 Day is at the Hammond Civic Center on Saturday, February 17 from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. This year, the event’s theme is “Feats of Strength”. There will be a Gladiator Joust, Punching Arcade, Thumb Wrestling, Tattoo Contest, Climbing Wall, Selfie Booth, Region Rat Piñata and more. The event is free admission.
